Responsive Joomla Templates

2012-05-12 0954
John Brett, owner of Stoner Creek Design in the Washington, DC area (Silver Spring, MD) and lead moderator at JoomlArt will be presenting on Joomla Responsive John Brett of Stoner Creek Designs on Responsive TemplatesTemplates.  In the last three months JoomlArt developers have been hard at work producing four  new responsive templates - some of the first available on the market; namely: Elastica, Puresite, Lens and Wall (released this month).  He will discuss the challenges that JoomlArt designers faced as they began building templates based on the T3 framework into truly "responsive"; interestingly, half way through the process, JoomlArt dropped the T3 framework and "started from scratch" to give these new templates more flexibility and power.  John will also demo the two newest templates "Lens" and "Wall" that are built entirely without the T3 framework and discuss how to best make use of their features to get websites that excel on phones, tablets, and computers.

In addition, Meg McCarthy requested that we delve into tables to find a way to make them more user friendly for clients.  So, in lieu of this, we'll plan to spend about 1/2 hour with hands on "think tank" style problem solving to explore ways to address this common problem.

As usual, bring your happy and sad Joomla stories and your questions. Please join us!
